Answer: The squeegee is made of rubber and works great for my bathroom floor tiles. It will not scratch the floor and glass. You can wipe the glass. However, it works better on the floor than on glass

Answer: I haven't used it on carpets, but it works great for removing cat hair from hardwood floors.
